NORMAN BOTERO: POETICS OF THE WASTE
Urban landscape, natural city, is made from random processes allowing a continuous contact with signs and symbols found, identifying levels as limits in distribution with significance of objects in space.
The cluster of ideas unprepared refers to an automatic paint, creating a parallel between the landscape and the concept of city construction, the collector begins his role, and their paths are true, in particular the association of the natural and the human life, that dismember the everyday and put it into service of a poor art, which overlooked is rematerialized by the eyes, mind and creations of the artist. The memory holds passages of life, visions of pain, cracks produced by the passage of time and trace marked in space, suggesting a landscape immersed in the action itself, which gives light to the infinite memory, drawing everyday to change direction.
Random routes are to be realized, with the possibility of permanent change of direction in order to pluralize the journeys yet to mixed results, and blurring the concrete in items as specific as the city and nature, to create then, rooted to appear and are destroyed, rematerializing a plastic expression. The work is a compilation of experiences and images freely appropriate in a “patchwork” or an union of pieces of different origin. The cities and landscapes are a transformation of man through the aesthetic and technical interventions that give an anthropomorphic character to the world in which we live.The smooth space always has a higher power of no territory

Then there is a dialogue between public and private, nature builds a new routine, aside from the look of who always runs the same steps, to nest in them the possibility of surprise and uncertainty of the future.
This recognizes the operation of allegory-collage, which is to literally move the material into fragments to a new context, which are juxtaposed producing a different sense that an individual had in their original.  Unlike classical artist who works with organic wholes, allegorical artist puts fragments together with the intention of setting a direction which is away from the origin and gets the semantic dimensions of the allegorical "operator". The philosophy of the city is not sectarian, mistrust from the beginning, raises the status of traffic between the interests, between the passions, between the thoughts. The story of the cities begins where men virtualize their primitive shelters in the wilderness and built another world, creates a new anthropological space, with the construction of his reason and his technical skill.
Memory, nature, movement, travel, routes where the harvesting can store images, objects, situations and graphics, communicating through visual performances.

Among the possibilities in the artistic process, elements are worthy of appropriate experiences for the collector who soon becomes a narrator of his experience, then the art materialized and recycled for itself.
States that the wonder of the world is enriched by a new beauty, with different icons that can recognize the beauty in the ugly, in what already has no apparent use, and really is and works as another concept of beauty, beautifully ugly.
The work is not so, nor the objects randomly placed in the front, allowing reflection on the culture in which they are immersed.
Among the relationships that reflect the human condition's, relation to its environment is essential, and on which all activity takes place, the virtual surroundings as the true nature of man consists precisely in the creation of new natures.
Landscapes both urban and natural, refined versions of their own poetic reverie, realizing his destiny when speaking of new spaces, or permanently destroyed equally, since time is resulting in cracks, scars and traces that touch the human and intervenes their conscience, and are not limited to pictures or words to express the extensions of his memory.
Memory and chance, the possibility of partnerships to the configuration and expression of metaphysical shortcomings of man and reality, one as a claim of space, time and their symbols and the other as a meeting of life and its moments.
Today, more than at any other time in history of art, creation is an act of intelligence and resources. Is to bring an idea and not just the line or gesture caused by hand, but with the possibilities of articulation with elements that stem from technology, rivaling traditional media and arguing that the power of a body image goes beyond of the predictable, browsing on a screen at the edge of new realities.
Qualities that tell the presence of objects in the present, allowing the expression that is not limited to immediate effects such as impulse response, but trigger actions in the average lag time and space. Marks and subjective feelings as the colors of the elements that change when the sun passes at different positions, on the contrary the expressive features are taken as self-objective, since they find their reason for being in the territory where it left its trace when living.
The color is used as a primary reference for distinguishing marks and spaces between them. The appeal of one color or another is not really important, but whether the fact that two spaces of the same color in two adjacent, indicating continuity, meaning, the infinite extension in space-color: a return, a reflection beyond the mass of the material body.
This is a Plastic and conceptual project in which the idea of re materialize, decontextualise and rename items belonging to what may be called waste, were weaving like a patchwork quilt, where the idea of the fragment size and took importance and the opportunity to give new values to the seemingly abject.    It became the backbone of a new way to look and see, that  through rhizomatic paths not only allow further deployments, both physical and theoretical, thus recognizing the essence of artistic work: it takes place in heterogeneous directions, aiming to meet the physical universe, where human intervention has generated a parallel nature of waste, which has been to our contemporary to a new niche for the aesthetic and artistic practices will provide a new area of the waste, the decomposition, nauseating, corrupt and rotten: new releases of the abject and emergency works working with rubble and the rest.
